Suite à sa rencontre avec le Président de la République il y a quelques jours, la superstar gabonaise a annoncé, ce 16 mai 2023, son retour au sein de la sélection nationale. Il affirme avoir écouté les paroles sages du Président qui s’est adressé à lui comme à un fils.
« Il y a quelques jours, j’ai eu l’immense honneur d’être reçu par le Président de la République de mon pays, et par la même occasion, d’avoir pu écouter les paroles sages qu’il m’a transmises, tel un père parlant à son fils », a déclaré Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sur son compte Instagram. Cette rencontre a permis au tout nouveau champion d’Espagne de revoir sa décision de quitter les Panthères du Gabon. « Suite à cela, je me remets à la disposition de mon pays et du coach Patrice Neveu, avec qui nous avons bien sûr échangé.
